MEMO TO OBAMA
SUBJECT: PALIN IS TO McCAIN WHAT NIXON WAS TO EISENHOWER
***** ***** *****
In the 1950’s, Republican Presidential candidate Dwight Eisenhower named Richard Nixon as his running-mate.
At the time Nixon was young and a novice. He had a national reputation but still his name on the national ticket was considered a gamble.
Then disaster struck soon after Nixon was chosen as Ike’s running-mate when it became public that there was a secret fund in which California businessman were giving Nixon money under the table.
With the press making this into a major story it looked as though Eisenhower would be forced to drop Richard Nixon from the ticket.
What happened to turn things around?
He appeared on television and gave his famous Checkers speech. He had Pat by his side and said he was just an honest guy and then to grab the audience he talked about a little dog named Checkers.
In other words; Tricky Dick laid it on pretty thick and the public bought it.

So, if the McCain people continue not to let their VP candidate speak to the press be aware that they could have her make a TV appearance in which she tells her “American story.” Where she talks about her Forest Gump-like husband, her kids, and even the knocked-up daughter.
It can happen, my friend. So please be aware and plan accordingly.
Just my opinion.
